Welcome Republic Nepal !!

Finally, the autocracy of Shah dynasty in Nepal ends here. Shah dynasty was ruling Nepal from last 240+ years. The last king of Shah dynasty, Gyanendra Shah, not only destroyed the image of entire Shah dynasty but lead to the end of monarchy. His ambitious dream to crash democracy ultimately lead him to loose all of his power and prosperity.

Grandfather of Gyanendra, Tribhuwan Shah and brother of Gyanendra, Birendra Shah were praised by people of Nepal for their commitment and dedication for democracy. Tribhuwan took a very bold step to restore democracy from autocratic Rana families for their hierarchical prime-ministerial system. Birendra on 90s showed his commitment towards democracy and allowed flexible environment for democratic practices. So, these both Shah kings are highly appreciated in Nepal.

But, the latest and last king, Gyanendra came to throne by Royal Massacre in which King Birendra was killed. From the beginning, Gyanendra started to show that he is not committed for constitutional monarchy and wanted to be a part of active political power which Nepalese people never allowed him. Then, he took the power by force. The bloodless coup made him powerful but he did not have any political skills to handle the power. And, the core fact is that Nepalese people never accept autocracy and always believed on democratic exercises. So, people were really disappointed by his active involvement on polities as a king. When he further tighten the people's right and tried limit them as helpless citizen; Nepalese swore to throw him out. When people's voice was heard on the road, he started suppressing the voices. Then, the people committed to dishonor the entire Shah dynasty in order to prevent the growth of another Gyanendra inside the palace. The bullets did not stop the people then. And, today is the day, finally, legally, formally, Shah Dynasty ends from Nepal. Nepal is Republic from today !! Congratulations to all of the Nepalese of inside and outside of Nepal on the day of Republic declaration !! Welcome Republic Nepal !!
