25 years of RONAST
But, I feel, it had done very wonderful task with its limited resources. Social motivation and priority of the nation are very important for any kind of productive research. But, it does not happen in Nepal. Nation have not understood its importance yet. That is the reason RONAST is not being able to bring any radical output on scientific researches. We can expect it only when the government will help and promote researches and stops to make it political playground.
Today's edition of Kantipur National Daily has published an article of Prof. Dr. Dayanand Bajracharya. I am posting some paragraphs of the article below:
But, dear Prof., do you really think that these are the achievements that people expect from a supreme research organization of a nation? I know these are also the things to be done, but are they only the things expected within a time frame of 25 years? Definitely not. Of course, I do realize your problems as well, but its not enough that people expect from scientific community.
That true Dr. I totally agree with you. RONAST and scientists are responsible towards people of Nepal. I am happy to know that you also realize that it has not done enough for the people.

Shreelal - Using Computer
Shreelal Makaju Shrestha is 67 years old and one of the reputed businessman of Dhulikhel, Kavre, Nepal. He owns his own rice mills on Dhulikhel and his family business extends from Dhulikhel to Kathmandu and Sikkim. He had already visited almost 80% cities of India and 60% cities of Nepal. He started his business when he was on 13. He started with Timber measurement business on Sikkim. He completed his education only up to fourth standard but he showed us his extraordinary skills about Mathematics.
He has keen interest on Computers. He wants to learn computers in order to simplify his accounting system of his business. Till now, he use ledger books to keep record of his business transactions. And, he came to know on his business circle that Computers could make his accounting easy. So, this was his major encouraging factor to learn computers.
He has two computers at his home. But, his sons and grandsons do not allow him to use them and said that they could not allow him to use it since he is computer illiterate, he may delete their useful files unknowingly. This answer pinches him a lot. It is also a reason he wants to learn computer and show them that he can also use computers.
So, he went to the Community Training Center to learn computers and returned back after finding out that he needs to have sound knowledge of English Language to use computers. He knows little more about English but do not have enough proficiency to interact with windows messages and computer settings on English. He did not leave his hope and started to query about learning and using computers on Nepali Language. Then, Dhulikhel Telecenter informed him about the Windows in Nepali, and this information cheered him up.
I got him when we were making a documentary related to Windows Localization Project.

Sabitra---Brushing-her-Teeth
Sabitra Khadka lives on Jaishithok, Lamidada, Kavre; more 20 KMs to the East from Dhulikhel. She is physically challenged girl with strong desire to learn computers. She cannot use her both hands. Her family is too poor that they cannot afford her for the treatment abroad. And, most of the hospitals of Dhulikhel and Kathmandu had already declared that she couldn’t be treated on Nepal. Doctors said, perhaps she cannot be treated anywhere. She is struggling on 10th standard. She passed ten years of her study only by writing with her toes. She eats directly with her mouth without any help of her hands and toes. She brushes her teeth with the help of her toes. She is 19 years old and has two younger sisters and one younger brother. Bother is struggling on 12 standard. Elder of the younger sisters is already married and has a child, youngest is also on 10th standard.
She wants to learn computers and would like to be the sample for her community. She wants to serve her community by her computer knowledge. But she cannot afford it. ADRA, an INGO, is funding for her education. She placed her interest about Computers to ADRA and it sends her to Dhulikhel Telecenter to solve her queries. When she uses the computer for the first time, it was a laptop and she enjoyed it a lot. Later, she found it much difficult to learn since she is weak in English. She studied on a Public School that starts formal education of English only from class five. So, its been only five year, she is introduced to English. She is perfect on making sentences but is really weak on understanding the meaning of sentences. She placed the same problem to the Dhulikhel Telecenter and came to know about Windows Localization Project. She said, only the Windows in Nepali can fulfill her dreams.
I got her when we were making a documentary related to Windows Localization Project.

Sunset...
Every night
The horizon lights up
Swirls of pink and orange
Fading to blue and purple
Few bother to look anymore
At a blessing
That only comes once a day
Each sunset is different
No two exactly alike
Difference flows throughout
While it is the only similarity
Over the ocean
Or through the sky scrapers
Out on the prairie
Or in an apartment
You can still see a piece
A piece of something
Something never to return
A sunset
For the colors are shimmering
For a moment they stay
Only to disappear into change
Change just as beautiful as the last
This is why
No matter where you go
One thing remains the same,
A difference in sunsets
In your very own sunset- Poem posted by ♥Spice.

Am I a blogger ?
Before initiating this blog, I think it twice to get reason for initiating it. Am I starting it as latest trend or tech-fashion? What am I suppose to blog about? Will I be able to keep it updated? I am not satisfied with my own answers.
Anyway, I would like to share my answers of my own queries with you.
Am I starting it as latest trend or tech-fashion?
Absolutely not. In fact, I have been blogging from last two years on Yahoo! 360 Blog. Because of my time limitations, I am being able to keep it updated. Blogging had been my interest those days. But, very few responses on blog discouraged me to continue on 360 Blog. Now, blog has been my necessity to update my friends about me. So, I think, I am blogging to create a common platform among my friends and all of those, who loves to read me.
What am I suppose to blog about?
Honestly, I don't know. I might blog about my own (sometimes, nonsense as well) feeling, experiences, up and downs, achievements, distraction, frustration, amusement, entertainment or anything that comes to my mind. Sometimes, I would blog about Computers, Technologies, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Programming and Databases. Sometimes about, my friends, their achievements, their status, their own feelings and their own stuffs. Sometimes, might be most often, Photo Blogging from my own gallery. So, it would be like talking about everything, Just a Topic to blog about.
Will I be able to keep it updated?
I will try my best to keep it updated. But, I can not commit it. I want to make it passion. I want to schedule it. But, honestly, I don't know, whether I will be able to keep it updated.
